Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Progressive Care Nurse

Schedule: Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not guaranteed

Requirements:

• Must have an active State of Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment.
• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year.
• Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred, current PALS preferred, NIHSS certification preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide primary nursing care to patients in a progressive care environment.
• Monitor telemetry and assess patient telemetry strips.
• Perform fingerstick blood sugar testing.
• Utilize Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication management.
• Provide care for patients requiring BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring.

Compliance / Notes:

• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
• Dress Code: Scrubs required.
