Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-call required up to 4 shifts per month (end of shift to 7:00 AM) | One weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) required per month | Holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both scrub and circulator roles across a wide range of surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
• Provide direct perioperative nursing care within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center operating room environment
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in on-call coverage and respond to emergent surgical cases as required
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including coverage across like units or sister facilities as directed
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification
• Radiation badge compliance (badge provided)
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience strongly preferred
• Experience at or familiarity with Level I Trauma Center environments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in the operating room setting
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties including robotics and transplant
