Relocation Assistance Eligible for Qualified TechnologistsWork Location: Cedar Hill, TXWork Hours: (Full-Time) Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm and 1 Saturday shift (8:00am-12:00pm) per month requiredThe Senior Mammographer operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures, and performs advanced clinical, education, or quality skills on a consistent basis. They must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques, employing effective patient and clinician communication.Department/Center Highlights:Cohesive Team EnvironmentScreening Mammo and Bone DensitySpacious, Beautiful Center!Center of ExcellenceHere is what you will need:Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in RadiographyARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligibleCurrent on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRTAssociates degree preferredMust possess non-restricted licensure in state work locationKnowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferredTwo years of experience in mammography is preferredExperience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferredPrior quality control experience preferredAbility to read, write, and comprehend medical terminologyAbility to stand for long periods of timeA Day in the Life of a Senior Mammography Technologist:Provide services and support for the following areas: Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis WayConsistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;Performs one or more advanced skills at organizationally defined minimum thresholds assessed annually:Stereotactic biopsy and/or Contrast Enhanced MammographyPrimary Mammography Quality Control responsibility and oversightMammography Educator/PreceptorAbility to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;Performs other work-related duties as assigned.Why Solis Mammography?A Great Place to Work, earning this prestigious award for multiple years running.Offer competitive benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays, Backup Child/Adult Care as well as other unique benefits.*Sign-On Bonus is applicable to current qualified Mammography Technologists (ARRT (M)).
