• Seeking BE/BC Pediatrician to join Pediatric Hospitalist Program
• 5 days on / 10 days off
• Must be NRP certified
• January 2027 start
• This Pediatric Hospitalist program provides:
  • • Provides dedicated, round-the-clock medical care for children and newborns who are admitted to the hospital.
    • Operating out of the Women & Children's Center on the second floor of the main health center in Mattoon, Illinois, this specialized team ensures immediate, acute medical management for young patients without the delay of waiting for an off-site doctor.

Program Overview and Coverage

• 24/7 Availability: Specialized providers cover the hospital in rotating 5-on/10-off 24-hour block shifts.
• Hospital Units Covered: Hospitalists manage care across the pediatric unit, labor and delivery, the newborn nursery, and the emergency department.
• Level II Nursery Support: The pediatric hospitalists oversee the hospital's Level II Nursery, which averages around 800 deliveries per year and handles high-risk, unplanned, and emergent deliveries.
• Care Coordination: The team closely collaborates with primary care pediatricians, providing regular condition updates and a comprehensive care overview upon discharge
