Locums Emergency Medicine No Call Rhinelander, WI Why This Role Ongoing coverage with more than 20 shifts available per month Flexible scheduling and multiple locums accepted No call responsibilities Epic EMR with two APCs and 24-hour diagnostic support Temporary privileges available for physicians with a clean file Northwoods location offering year-round outdoor recreation Assignment Details Start Date: September 28, 2026 End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: Scheduled Emergency Department shifts; no call Setting: Hospital-based Emergency Department Schedule: Flexible; more than 20 open shifts per month Facility: 15-bed, Level IV trauma center Patient Volume: Approximately 17 Äì23 patients per shift Coverage Model: Mostly single physician coverage with some shift overlap and two APCs Admission Rate: Approximately 20% EMR: Epic Credentialing: Approximately 60 Äì90 days; temporary privileges available Clinical Details Evaluate and manage emergency patients across a broad acuity range Admissions required Newborn deliveries may be received in the ED; on-site L&D available Support includes 2 Äì4 RNs, two APCs, and administrative staff No APP, resident, or teaching supervision required Anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, orthopedic surgery, radiology, and OR response available 24/7 Coverage may extend to nearby Northwoods regional hospitals, including two critical-access facilities within approximately 30 minutes Requirements Board Certified in Emergency Medicine Active Wisconsin license, IMLC pathway, or eligibility under Wisconsin Act 10 Current BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS Clean NPDB, malpractice, and credentialing file for temporary privileges Hospital privileges Local or Midwest-based physicians strongly preferred due to winter travel considerations
