The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proactivity, thrive in a fast-paced environment & have a drive to expand their knowledge. They will be externally focused and provide business support within Finance, Sales, Marketing, R&D & Commercial leadership. Work Environment & Travel: This is a hybrid position based out of the Home Office in Jackson, MI, requiring onsite presence approximately 2 days per week, with the ability to flex based on business needs. Up to 10% travel may occasionally be required. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Jackson, MI, to be considered, as relocation assistance is not available for this position. During onboarding and training, candidates should expect to be onsite up to 4 days per week. What will you do as a Financial Analyst II – Market/ Distribution Accounts at Dawn Foods? Perform standard & ad-hoc reporting for business partners. Leveraging on the job learning of Dawn’s business to drive favorable outcomes based on the reporting generated. Support the development of new business analytics to influence key decision making & profitability governance. Conduct pricing analyses, driving profitable growth at micro & macro levels. Support the Commercial Finance team in delivering strategic & operational support to the commercial team (Sales & Marketing). Work closely with Financial Analysts & Commercial Finance Manager on projects throughout the year based on current business needs. Develop & leverage your ability to analyze key business drivers & present clear, concise recommendations based on findings to influence business decisions. Other duties as assigned What Does It Take to be a Financial Analyst II – Market/Distribution Accounts at Dawn Foods? Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job. A high school diploma or GED is required A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of financial experience. Will accept 6 years of relevant financial experience in lieu of a degree. Experience with P&L management, financial modeling, commercial operations, supply chain, and accounting is highly preferred. Understanding of commercial business with experience supporting Sales or Marketing teams through financial insights. Understanding of pricing strategy, margin analysis, and profitability improvement. Strong attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to connect financial results to business drivers and explain what is causing changes in performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to have the ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations for non-Finance partners. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Self-starter with the ability to provide financial support, handling multiple tasks within an open and interactive environment. Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines. Hands-on Excel experience, comfortable analyzing large data sets, utilizing pivot tables & charts, creating graphs, lookups, IF statements, etc. SAP and Oracle experience desired.
