Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare and record journal entries to support the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Support financial reporting by applying GAAP principles, including revenue recognition standards.
• Review and properly code credit card transactions for accurate and timely posting.
• Process employee expense reports and reimbursements in line with company policies.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records in compliance with internal controls.
• Assist with audit preparation by compiling schedules and supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, improve efficiencies, and support cost management efforts.
• Provide support to the Controller on special projects and ad hoc initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting (required)
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
