Power Equipment Department Head

Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on Duty
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly; Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide excellent customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

1. Assist customers with special order requests and educate them in product knowledge.
2. Present a positive and friendly attitude at all times and greet all customers within ten feet.
3. Verify proper product rotation and basic stockage of merchandise in multiple departments.
4. Learn and retain Company information based on Farm & Home Supply's web-based employee site, The Outfitter.
5. Remove damaged merchandise as needed as well as review and correct outage overstocks to supply proper inventory levels.
6. Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and set store ads and signage.
7. Identify and display new items at designated locations with Management approval.
8. Demonstrate strong merchandising presentation skills for in-aisles, end caps, and displays and the ability to locate that merchandise quickly and easily for customers.
9. Ensure a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures using regular safety checks.
10. Attend job-related meetings as well as review the F&H Weekly Update.
11. Professionally communicate with Customers, Management, and all store employees.
12. Follow all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
13. Assist with price changes, markdowns, and labeling of merchandise.
14. Operate cash registers and assist customers with carryout purchases.
15. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
16. Lift and carry weight up to and including 80 lbs.
17. Maintain and control an organized stockroom area.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

Completing special projects directed by management as well as any additional responsibilities that may be assigned throughout the store at any given time to meet the needs of the business.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• Minimum Age is for this position is 18 years old.
• Six months of previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members who want to grow.
