Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to serve as the sole accounting professional on-site , working directly with and reporting to the Controller. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys owning the day-to-day accounting process, managing multiple priorities, and being a key financial resource for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for the Controller
- Monitor cash activity and ensure accurate financial records
- Support audits and special projects as needed
- Partner with leadership to provide accurate and timely financial information
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Experience with AP, AR, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to work independently and manage all daily accounting functions with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
