Leasing ConsultantThe focus of the Leasing Consultant is to lease apartments while achieving the highest effective rent levels possible and maintaining a strong customer service/satisfaction philosophy. We also promote internal advancement to further your career with us, as we believe that our leaders of tomorrow come from the team members of today.Job Description/Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Show apartmentsProvide information to prospects via telephone and personal visitsAccurately quote pricesFollow up on all prospectsThorough knowledge of the immediate market and all comparable propertiesThorough knowledge of the surrounding communityEnsure all necessary application paperwork is obtained from prospectsProvide superior customer serviceCollect money (deposits, rents, etc.)Prepare and review leases for accuracyMaintain effective and aggressive lease renewal programInspect apartments for readinessAdherence to and proper implementation of all Fortis Properties Management policies and proceduresDistribute move-in packagesOther duties as delegatedKnowledge of and adherence to the following:Fair Housing policies and proceduresADA policies and proceduresExperience:Prior leasing/sales experience is strongly preferredPrior experience in a multifamily lease-up phase strongly preferredProficiency in social media preferredProficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, MRI, AppFolio)Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Special Skills:Ability to successfully interact with peopleOrganizational skillsComputer literateStrong communication skills both orally and writtenGood decision-making abilityProficient sales skillsProfessional imageSupervision Received:The Leasing Consultant will report to the Community Manager and/or Assistant Manager.Benefits (Full-Time Employees Only):Paid Time OffMedical/Dental/VisionLife Insurance401(K)Referral ProgramRent Discounts (where applicable)Disclaimer:This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
