An AM200 law firm, specializing in L&E, is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney for its Chicago office . This hybrid role offers a balanced billable structure and the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defend employers in a range of labor and employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims
• Advise clients on day-to-day employment issues, policies, and compliance matters
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including administrative proceedings and litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, position statements, employment agreements, and workplace policies
• Conduct depositions and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop effective litigation and risk management strategies

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Illinois Bar required
• 2-5 years of labor and employment experience , including litigation and/or counseling
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
