LHH is partnering with a well-established and growing organization in North County San Diego to hire a Staff Accountant. This is a great opportunity for an accountant who enjoys being involved in multiple areas of the business and wants to continue building their general accounting experience within a stable company that offers strong benefits and opportunities for growth.

 

This role will have exposure to general ledger accounting, cash management, accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, month-end close, financial reporting, and sales tax. You'll work closely with both the accounting team and other departments across the organization, making this a good fit for someone who enjoys variety and wants visibility into the broader financial operations of a business.

 

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity

• Reconcile cash activity and help monitor daily cash positioning

• Manage and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, including cash and accounts receivable

• Support customer invoicing, payment application, collections, and AR reporting

• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities

• Maintain customer account information and credit-related records

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting

• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records

• Prepare account reconciliations in accordance with internal controls and established accounting policies

• Assist with sales tax reconciliations and filings

• Work cross-functionally with sales and operational teams to help resolve accounting and transaction-related issues

• Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as the organization continues to grow

 

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered

• 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally with general ledger and month-end close exposure

• Experience working within an ERP or larger accounting system

• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data

• Solid understanding of account reconciliations and journal entries

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Analytical and problem-solving mindset

• Comfortable communicating and collaborating across different departments

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
