Bi-weekly orientation starting November 2, 2026. \n Contract Length: 13 weeks. \n Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every third weekend; every other holiday. \n Distance & Attendance Rules: Strict 40-mile radius rule (no local candidates). Maximum of 3 call-ins permitted before termination. Headshot required for badge during compliance. \n \n Key Facility Policies & Floating Rules \n \n Cross-Campus Floating: First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Newburgh or Deaconess Gateway campuses in Indiana with a 2-hour notice. \n Unit Scope & Ratios: 10-bed SDU (Day ratio 1:4–5; Night ratio 1:5–6) and 15-bed Tele unit (Day ratio 1:5–6; Night ratio 1:6). Charting via Epic (requires check-off class). Teaching facility—may require precepting of students and new hires. Navy blue scrubs required. \n \n Requirements & Qualifications \n \n Experience: Minimum 2 years as an RN (including 1 solid year of stepdown/PCU experience) and 1 prior travel assignment required. \n Clinical Skills: Required to pass telemetry/12-lead EKG test. Must be able to initiate and titrate insulin, heparin, and cardiac drips.
