Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position is available in a facility located in a healthcare setting that manages obstetric patient care. This role involves providing specialized nursing services to obstetric patients, including antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The position offers flexible scheduling options and is suitable for both seasoned professionals and those new to the field.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), American Womens Hospital Obstetric Nursing (AWHONN) Intermediate, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Valid licensure or certification is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in antepartum, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, high-risk delivery assistance, vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulating, fetal monitoring, and obstetric triage.
• Additional Information:
  • Experience with patient ratios of approximately 2 patients during days, nights, and weekends.
  • Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
  • The facility has approximately 15 beds and handles 100-200 deliveries per month.
  • Travelers may be expected to float within their scope as needed, with brief orientation provided.
  • All necessary modules are completed onsite during orientation and recorded via transcripts.
  • The contract begins on 09/28/2026 and ends on 12/28/2026, with a possibility of 4-6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
  • Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler.
  • Candidates should be prepared for compliance requirements, including labs and necessary licenses, within 48 business hours after contract signing.
