Position Overview The University of Connecticut School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine is seeking a board‑certified DO or MD family physician for a full‑time faculty position. In addition to practicing full scope family medicine—including outpatient, inpatient, and preferably obstetrics—this position includes teaching and supervision of residents and medical students. Residency Program UConn's family medicine residency program (7/7/7 accredited program) is based solely at the Family Medicine Center at Asylum Hill in Hartford, CT. Our inpatient hospital is Saint Francis Hospital (directly across the street from the practice center) and is part of Trinity Health of New England. The program is located in the west‑end of Hartford and has been a part of the city’s fabric for more than 40 years, serving the underserved. Teaching and Community Engagement In addition to patient care and training future physicians, we are active in School of Medicine teaching courses, mentoring students, and participating in scholarly and community projects. We collaborate with community agencies on projects integrated with our residency program. Our department supports DEI and well‑being initiatives, and the collaborative environment promotes curriculum development at the residency and School of Medicine level. Eligibility Requirements DO/MD board‑eligible or certified in Family Medicine with a license to practice medicine in the State of Connecticut. Compensation Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and consistent with AAMC Faculty Salary table guidelines.
