Job Title: Accounts Payable Manager
Location: Illinois or Wisconsin (Remote)
Pay Range: $40-46/hour 
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) 

Role Overview: Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for an Accounts Payable Manager. Our client is looking for an AP Manager to join their team on a fully remote, contract basis. They are seeking an individual that has experience managing full AP processes for larger organizations. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounts payable process for the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payment of vendor invoices.
• Partner with and provide daily guidance to the offshore Accounts Payable team to ensure efficient workflow and issue resolution.
• Prepare weekly check runs for approval, including reviewing automated payment batches and coordinating final approvals with leadership.
• Enter vendor invoices and bills into Sage and process payments through Sage and vendor payment portals.
• Process refund check requests and ensure timely distribution.
• Research and resolve accounts payable issues, including:
• Missing remittance information
• Delayed or failed payments
• Unentered or missing invoices
• Vendor payment discrepancies
• Communicate directly with vendors regarding payment status, invoice questions, and issue resolution while maintaining positive business relationships.
• Consolidate multiple AP ledgers into a single approval file using Excel, providing leadership with weekly payment approval reports.
• Support ongoing improvements to AP processes and ensure payments are processed accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing accounts payable at a company with $200M+ revenue
• Able to work in multiple systems
