Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) | Temple, TX

We’re seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) located in Temple, Texas . This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on support to patients in their rehabilitation journey while working alongside experienced Physical Therapists and an interdisciplinary care team.

Position Details

• Location: Temple, TX

• Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Schedule: Full-time (hours may vary by facility)

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant License (Texas)

• BLS certification (required)

• New graduates accepted ; SNF experience preferred

• Must meet pre-employment credentialing requirements (background check, drug screen, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans

• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility assistance

• Monitor and document patient progress and report updates to supervising PTs

• Educate patients and families on safe movement techniques and exercises

• Ensure compliance with facility standards and state practice guidelines

• Support patient recovery goals with compassion and professionalism
