Key facts Location: Holly, Michigan Engagement: Full-time Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience Visa: Sponsorship available for qualified candidates What you’ll do Lead the planning and execution of travel projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations. Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, timelines, resources, and budgetary considerations. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution and timely delivery of travel services. Monitor project progress and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track. Conduct regular meetings with project teams and stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes. Prepare and present project reports to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies throughout all phases of project management. Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing among team members. Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring that projects remain financially viable. Utilize project management software and tools to streamline processes and enhance team productivity. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in travel management to continuously improve project outcomes. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on travel or hospitality sectors. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile or Waterfall. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and leadership. Willingness to travel as needed to oversee project implementation and conduct site visits. Nice to have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Experience working with international travel projects or managing travel logistics across multiple regions. Familiarity with budgeting and financial management in a project context. Knowledge of travel industry regulations and compliance standards. Experience in vendor management and negotiation skills. Skills & tools Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient in data analysis and reporting. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage stress effectively. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Familiarity with CRM systems and travel management software. Practical notes This position is based in Holly, Michigan, and may require occasional travel for project oversight. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is available for qualified individuals.
