Housekeeper

Position Title Staff Housekeeping Overview Copper Ridge Nursing & Assisted Living Center in Sykesville, Maryland seeks an energetic, organized, reliable housekeeping staff member to maintain high standards in a skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities Perform indoor housekeeping throughout all facility areas, including multiple types of flooring and patient rooms. Perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, wiping, mopping, and polishing; ensure residents’ rooms are safe, comfortable, and well presented. Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing units, including routine cleaning and garbage disposal per sanitation procedures. Investigate patient/family complaints and act to resolve issues. Assist with spill cleanup, soiled area removal, and hazardous condition removal. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and workflow. Maintain a clean, neat, sanitary environment for work and storage areas. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Ability to perform a variety of simple, repetitive tasks in potentially unpleasant conditions. Practical knowledge of day‑to‑day cleaning in long‑term care settings. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Professionalism, confidentiality, initiative, and independent decision making. Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to work effectively with staff and vendors. Physical Requirements Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and across a distance of 50 feet (not a complete list). Preferred Skills Environmental service experience in a long‑term care setting is preferred but not required.
