The University merges quality academics, distinguished and exceptional faculty and staff, and modern facilities to engage and challenge its 4,000 students who share in the desire to shape the future through insight, intellectual exploration, discernment, and community service and engagement.Job Summary:Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Transfer Admissions Counselor represents the University to prospective transfer students, returning students, their families, community college counselors, academic advisors, and other college-access partners in a variety of on- and off-campus settings. The Transfer Admissions Counselor is responsible for the recruitment, admission, re-enrollment, and enrollment of prospective transfer and returning students, developing relationships with community colleges and other transfer partners, and guiding students through the admissions process from initial inquiry through enrollment.Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct reports.Outcomes / Performance Measures:Primary Duties:Serve as the primary contact for prospective transfer and re-enrolling students, providing individualized guidance through the admissions and enrollment process, including application completion, transcript review, and next steps toward registration.Provides transfer evaluations of transcripts and documentation in accordance with institutional policies.Work with academic departments, CASE and enrollment services offices to ensure accurate evaluation and placement of transfer credits.Lead outreach efforts to assist former students seeking re-admission, providing advice and support to facilitate their successful return and degree completion.Conduct proactive outreach to prospective students through phone calls, email, text messaging, virtual appointments, events, and other recruitment initiatives.Remains current on University programs and offerings to ensure accurate and up to date information is being provided to prospective students and other members of the community.Processes the application-related materials and corresponding student records in Slate and Colleague in a time-sensitive manner with accuracy and a strong attention to detail, and facilitates the timely completion of applications.Participate in and represent the University at transfer fairs, community college visits, college nights, open houses, information sessions, admitted student events, and other recruitment programs.Utilizes a variety of software programs including but not limited to Colleague, Slate, Outlook, Word, Excel, Zoom and other related programs.Performs other duties as assigned.Any other duty or responsibility assigned by the supervisor.Hourly Range: $24.72 - $27.47Benefits:Along with a competitive salary, we provide a robust benefits package to support your health and future goals.Key Benefits Include:Paid Time Off: Paid holidays, personal days, vacation, and sick leaveHealth Coverage: Health insurance, dental insurance, and vision insuranceLife Insurance: Employer-provided life insuranceLife & Disability Insurance: Voluntary life and voluntary disability coverageRetirement Savings: 401(k) plan with Roth and Traditional optionsTuition Remission: An attractive tuition remission policy for employees and their dependentsAdditional Perks: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Voluntary Legal plan, FSA and moreThe well-being of our employees is a priority for our University, and we are committed to promoting your success and well-being.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree requiredStrong organizational skills, with an attention to detail and ability to process critical information in a timely manner.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a student-centered approachExperience working within a CRM (Slate) and Student Information System (Colleague)Experience in a higher education setting, preferably in an academic setting or advisement,Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAvailability to occasionally work outside of normal hours, evenings and/or weekends in the performance of assigned responsibilities.Ability to travel when needed (minimal and within state).
