Position Description: Lead Stylist & Dual-Salon Manager – Leveled, Appointment-Based Salon (Columbus, OH)
Are you an experienced stylist who loves your craft and is ready to lead? We’re seeking a dynamic individual who can both take clients and oversee day-to-day operations at one or more of our professional, appointment-only salons in the Columbus area. Our brand delivers exceptional cut, color, and treatment experiences without the elitist vibe of ultra-luxury salons. What you’ll do:
Ensure smooth operations across one or more salons-- uphold our quality and sanitation standards.Lead and coach – set clear expectations, run daily briefs and debriefs, and mentor stylists, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.Eventually manage scheduling and time-off coordination.Behind the chair – perform high-quality services 3–4 days per week to maintain your own clientele and model technical excellence.Collaborate – work closely with our recruiting, marketing, inventory, and training teams to ensure seamless operations while focusing on your core responsibilities.Who you are:
A seasoned stylist with 5+ years behind the chair a loyal client base is welcome but not necessaryA natural leader who can provide constructive feedback, run an efficient shift and motivate stylists without ego.Organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage schedules and prioritize effectively across two locations.Passionate about high-end service in a friendly, authentic environment.Able to navigate the Google Suite, including Docs, Sheets, Forms, and chatCompensation & schedule:
Top performers in this role are able to approach 100k per year. Base pay for management hours is $18–35/hr; 40–52% commission on services performed while behind the chair. Important note: Our mid to high-level stylists earn $30 to $75 per hour, so this role is for those who are optimizing for role preference over income. This is a full-time role averaging 40–45 hours per week. Most weeks will include 16 to 24 hours behind the chair, with dedicated weekly time for meetings and administration.
