Cantina Catrina ServerPrepare tables for meals, take guest orders, serve food and drinks, answer questions related to menu items. Caters to the wishes of the guests and suggestively sell drinks and food. Duties include but not limited to:Attend to and create a warm and pleasant atmosphere for the guests.Answer any questions related to menu items, their preparation, ingredients and side dishes.Greet newly arrived guests when they are seated (within 30 seconds of being seated).Take drink orders upon guest arrival, bring drinks and offer tickets. Take the entire order and confirm it to the guest for approval.Present menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.Enter the orders of the guests in the system quickly in the proper sequence and use the appropriate abbreviations and charges.Follow moderate alcohol use procedures carefully to prevent alcohol poisoning and you should know how to deal with intoxicated guests.Take orders from guests for food or beverages; write guests' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.Observe guests and respond to their needs. Serve food or beverages to guests.Keep the table and in order by lifting what has been used, checking the levels in the drinks, lifting used napkins and papers and providing clean napkins.Present check to guests when raising the last dish or when required. Take the cash or credit card and return with the change or voucher after one minute of payment. Follow appropriate accounting measures to close the account.Keep the station clean, and order or remove the dishes from the tables properly.Attend shift meetings as scheduled and on time.Check guests' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.Roll silverware set up food stations or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.Clean tables or counters after guests have finished dining.Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for guests and chill bottles of wine.Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, and napkin containers.Keep the immediate supervisor informed of any problem or issues of importance and take the necessary actions as required and suggest solutions or alternatives as appropriate.Perform all activities and responsibilities in a highly effective manner by following the company's established policies to achieve the objectives of your position.Assist in maintaining positive work environment, contributing to positive morale.Provide and maintain a positive e image of Cantina Catrina to promote their goals and objectives, raise guest recognition, and achieve acceptance of the commitment areas.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Activities Performing for or Working Directly with the Public Answer customer or public inquiries Assist guests at entertainment events Assist guests to make wine selection Collect payment Provide customer service Serve food or beverages Performing General Physical Activities Clean rooms or work areas Set or clear tables in dining areas Getting Information Obtain information from individuals Selling or Influencing Others Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates Notify kitchen personnel of food orders, shortages, or special orders Handling and Moving Objects Mix drinks or flavors for mixed drinks Prepare beverages Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships Judging the Qualities of Things, Services, or People Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others Training and Teaching Others Interacting With Computers Use computers to enter, access or retrieve data Tools and Technology Tools Electronic funds transfer point of sale equipment Credit card processing machines Point of sale POS terminal Point of service workstations Technology Point of sale POS software Education: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
