Desired Background and Skills:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with appropriate state credentials
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings
• Familiarity with IEP development and goal implementation
• Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with educators, parents, and students
• Organizational skills to manage caseload and deadlines effectively
• COTAs must have supervision arrangements per state requirements

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, supporting access to curriculum and daily school activities
• Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor progress toward goals
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement strategies in the classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain detailed documentation
