Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will work within a diverse and dynamic clinical environment, providing high-quality patient care to individuals in the Emergency Department and MedSurg Swing Bed unit.

Unit Information

• Unit Cost Center: 6000
• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratios:
  • 1:4 Acute
  • 1:6 Swing Bed
  • ED: 1:4
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients: All types

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of one year of MedSurg experience required.
• Ability to titrate drips and manage patient needs effectively.
• Experience with common titratable or set rate drips.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the unit.
• Monitor vital signs and manage treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality care delivery.
• Read telemetry strips and respond to patient needs as necessary.

Technical Equipment

• Utilization of respiratory therapy equipment including NEBS, O2 nasal and masks, CPAPs, and BiPap, among others.
• Vents are used primarily in the ED and for patient transport.

Scheduling and Shifts

• Shifts: 12-hour days and nights (7a-7p and 7p-7a).
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday.
• Flexibility to float to ED holds and assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed.

Dressing and Orientation

• Dress Code: Any color scrubs.
• Unit/Department specific orientation will be provided.
