Physical Therapist - Outpatient

5x8.0 - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, starting ASAP.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services. The Physical Therapist designs functional treatment programs that facilitate the effective return of patients to community activities, while also serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Document all patient care and progress in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders.
• Participate in student programs, ensuring a positive learning environment.
• Create an individualized professional development plan, actively pursuing ongoing education.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Improve quality of services through performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
