Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized intensive care nursing services to critically ill patients in the ICU unit. Ensure high-quality patient care through clinical expertise and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Manage acute and complex patient conditions within the ICU setting.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by medical staff.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory data to detect early signs of deterioration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including code blue and rapid response events.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina RN license or Compact license before start date.
• Possess at least 2 years of ICU or Stepdown experience.
• Certified in ACLS and BLS; NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic electronic charting.
• Capable of floating within scope to meet facility needs.
• Able to work 3x12 night shifts, including holidays, with weekend rotations.
