Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse - Night Shift, Level II Trauma Center, Pediatric Critical Care. This position involves providing specialized care for a diverse pediatric patient population with respiratory, cardiovascular, surgical, and medical conditions. The role requires a skilled RN prepared to manage complex cases in a fast-paced, Level II trauma setting.

Job Details

• Position Description: SIMPLIFI CLINICAL INTERVIEWING. Experience required: 2 years. Skills required: aseptic and sterile techniques, basic dressing changes, ventilator and trach management, suctioning, g-tube/j-tube management, feeding tubes, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, drip management, Foley insertion and management, discharge skills, CRRT experience with Prismax preferred; CICU experience preferred. Required Certifications: BLS, PALS.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, every other weekend rotation.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, PALS certification, experience in pediatric intensive care or related fields, ability to work nights, ability to manage respiratory and medical pediatric patients, familiarity with ventilator and trach management, g-tube/j-tube management, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, drip management, Foley insertion, and discharge skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: CRRT experience with Prismax, CICU experience, Epic EMR proficiency.
• Additional Information: Floating to MedSurg, ED, or NICU as helping hands or constant observer is possible. Scrub color is flexible; no hooded shirts or long sleeves, must be pull above elbow. The unit is a 152-bed Level II trauma center with a Level IV NICU, handling a wide spectrum of pediatric critical cases, including trauma, congenital heart defects, surgical, medical, and respiratory conditions. The provider must be able to start on 11/02/2026 and work through 01/30/2027.
