High School Intervention Specialist – Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year
We're partnering with a supportive Ohio school district to hire a dedicated High School Intervention Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year. If you're passionate about helping students succeed academically and socially while working alongside a collaborative special education team, we'd love to connect with you!
Position Details
- Position: High School Intervention Specialist
- Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
- New Staff Start Date: August 13, 2026
- Assignment End Date: May 28, 2027
- Daily Hours: Start at 7:15 AM
- Three days per week: 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM
- Two days per week: 7:15 AM – 2:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support to high school students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Deliver services through a combination of inclusion and pull-out support based on student needs.
- Facilitate a supported study hall for students requiring additional academic assistance.
- Develop and implement IEPs while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success.
Caseload
- Approximately 20 students (within state guidelines).
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License
- Appropriate Mild/Moderate licensure for the high school level
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Previous high school special education experience is preferred but not required
