Health Science Specialist

Basic Qualifications You must possess a Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in a major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of a Health Science Specialist. Copies of transcripts are required at the time of application. Specialized Experience One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS‑11) in the Federal Service, that is directly related to the work of the position and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties as a Health Science Specialist. Qualifying specialized experience includes but is not limited to: Managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Research & Development Committee processes, including receipt, review, and referral of research applications, and coordination with investigators to resolve study protocol issues; Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms in alignment with local and national guidelines; Maintaining project tracking databases, preparing compliance reports, and independently monitoring program content. #J-18808-Ljbffr US-Department-of-Veterans-Affair
