Electrical Maintenance TechnicianWieland is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician. The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive electrical and maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goal and objectives. Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams. Inspect electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers. Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems. This role is located in Shelbyville, KY and will be fully on-site.Schedule: Rotating 12-hour ShiftsDay Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PMNight Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:00 AMPay Schedule: WeeklyResponsibilitiesPerform minor electrical building repairs as necessaryPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of facility machineryTroubleshoot production equipment controlled by PLC controllers, using the troubleshooting tools supplied by a PLC software, preferably Siemens S7 or TIA.Troubleshoot VSD, preferably Siemens VFD's.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceDiagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments as neededPerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilitiesUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing dutiesDetect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisionComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasPerform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and componentsDemonstrate teamwork and high-level communication skillsOther duties as assignedQualifications5+ years of manufacturing experience; strong electrical, and electrical controls knowledge. Good hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial knowledge.5 years experience in industrial electrical fieldPLC and VFD experience. Siemens preferred.High school diploma or equivalentAbility to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems.Proficiency in using multimeters and other measuring equipment to diagnose electrical problems in industrial equipment.Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and small hand tools.Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, OutlookAbility to work under pressureJoining Wieland's team gives you…Benefits - Starting on Day 1!
