Service Desk Analyst

Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology organization, is seeking a Service Desk Analyst in Columbia, Missouri. Position Summary: This is a fully onsite opportunity in Columbia, requiring five days per week in the office. This is a six-month contract-to-hire position expected to convert to a permanent role. The Service Desk Analyst will serve as the primary onsite IT contact, providing hands-on technical support to internal employees and executives. This is an end-user-focused position responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, configuring and deploying devices, and delivering a positive support experience. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, customer-focused, eager to learn, and excited to grow within a corporate IT environment. Must-Haves: 1-3 years of Service Desk, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Support experience Strong customer service and end-user support skills Hands-on experience building, configuring, testing, and deploying PCs Experience troubleshooting Windows 11 hardware and software issues Familiarity with macOS, iPhones, and other iOS devices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Positive attitude, strong learning aptitude, and enthusiasm for corporate IT Additional Experience: Microsoft 365 or Office 365 support Laptop, mobile-device, and peripheral configuration Software installation, updates, and deployment Desktop management and ticketing tools CompTIA A+, Apple, Microsoft, or similar certifications Associate degree or technical training in Information Systems Executive or corporate end-user support Main Responsibilities: Provide face-to-face, phone, chat, email, and ticket-based support Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues Configure new and existing PCs, laptops, virtual machines, and mobile devices Build, test, and deploy software packages to workstations and laptops Support Windows 11, macOS, iOS, and Microsoft 365 environments Install, update, and manage software using desktop management tools Serve as the primary onsite contact for technical issues Escalate complex problems and collaborate with additional IT teams Maintain accurate documentation and respond to requests promptly Support occasional offsite meetings and urgent after-hours calls Lift and carry workstations, printers, and other equipment weighing up to 60 pounds What the Right Candidate Will Enjoy: Working directly with employees and helping resolve everyday technology issues Becoming the trusted, go-to onsite resource for IT support Building, configuring, testing, and deploying computers and software Supporting both Windows and Apple devices Troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software problems Working independently while collaborating with broader technical teams Continuously learning new applications, devices, and support processes Building valuable experience within a fast-paced corporate IT environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Optomi
