Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Summary

This temporary assignment will aid existing employees in the operation of organic extraction preparation procedures and support general laboratory functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in organic extraction preparation procedures
• Perform various chemical experiments and laboratory functions
• Use analytical balances and pipettes
• Handle chemicals as required
• Wash glassware
• Perform general laboratory housekeeping

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous laboratory experience required
• Associate of Science degree preferred but not required
• Basic computer skills
• Good math skills
• Ability to work overtime as necessary, including weekends with little short notice
• Minimum of one year of experience required

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• Must be willing to work with hazardous and/or radioactive materials
• Training and personal protective equipment will be provided, including lab coat and safety glasses

Additional Requirements

• Must submit to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Position is considered safety-sensitive
• Dress code: jeans, shirt, and closed-toe shoes
• Work hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
