Irrigation Technician

Peoplelink Staffing has partnered with a leading public University in Jacksonville, Florida. Located between Jacksonville's beaches and downtown, our customer is set on a beautiful 1,000+ acre campus surrounded by nature. We are currently hiring an Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and manage the computerized irrigation systems, controllers, and backflow devices in a safe manner.
Irrigation Technician Job Summary:
- Day shift
- $18.00 - $20.00/hr
- Temp to hire
- Operates, maintains, and repairs existing irrigation systems to ensure adequate moisture for plantings
- Designs, installs, tests, and maintains new irrigation systems, backflow devices, and controllers
- Monitors and operates college-wide Maxicom system (computerized water management system)
- Operates special and/or heavy equipment and vehicles to perform the duties
- Works with the grounds team to plan and complete landscape project at multiple sites
- High School Diploma or GED minimum
- 3 years+ of relevant experience
- Experience in design, installation, and operation of computer controlled irrigation systems preferred
- Safe use of heavy and specialized equipment
- Computer Skills
