Tech - Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a proficient surgical technologist to support orthopedic, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures in a fast-paced trauma center. The role involves working four 10-hour daytime shifts with scheduled on-call and weekend call duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical teams during orthopedic total joint, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instrumentation, supplies, and sterile equipment.
• Respond promptly to call emergencies from the hospital within 30 minutes.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule, including weekend and after-hours coverage.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other staff to facilitate smooth surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential.
• Proven experience assisting in orthopedic, laparoscopic, or robotic surgeries.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including assigned call and weekend shifts.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations.
• Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a high-pressure environment.
