Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN for a full-time day shift travel contract in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting.

Details

• Position is located in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU) within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient caseload, monitoring and documenting physiological data, administering medications, and regulating IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract; prior travelers may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon offer acceptance
