Reports to: Food Service Director

Qualifications: High School diploma Experience in quantity food preparation and service desirable Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Job Goal
Assists in preparation and service of food and assists with other related food service activities required for the operation of the program.
Performance Responsibilities
1. Maintains food, supplies and equipment throughout service.
2. Responsible for knowing items on menu, portion sizes, proper utensils and condiments.
3. Familiarity with proper taste, composition and appearance of menu items.
4. Prepares food as needed throughout service.
5. Is aware of preparation times for foods, proper temperatures, etc.
6. Works food line serving children.
7. Utilizes time efficiently and productively.
8. Works as a member of the food service team.
9. Cleans and maintains equipment and facilities.
10. Operates equipment and performs work tasks in a safe and sanitary manner.
11. Provides suggestions for improving food quality and general operation of school food service programs.
12. Performs other tasks as delegated by school food service supervisor.
Terms of Employment: 10 month 170 days annually
Evaluation: Performance will be annually evaluated by the Food Service Director
