RN - PCU/Step Down
Located at the Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center. Option of 36 or 48 hours. 2 years preferred (will consider 1+ years). 1st time travelers accepted. Local traveler: Ratios: 1:4. Weekend requirement: As needed, rotating. Float requirement: YES. On call requirement: None. Block scheduling: Case by case. RTO parameters: Certification requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI preferred. 55 beds on unit, Cardiovascular experience required. Scrub color: Any (no logo).
Shift details: Night 4x12-hour (18:30 - 07:00). Start date: 06/08/2026. End date: 09/07/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Shifts per week: 4. Scheduled hours: 48.
Skills: BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Blood product administration, Cardiac telemetry, Central line care/management, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Feeding tube care and management, Heparin protocols, High flow nasal cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Manage cardiac drips- no titration, Management of dysrhythmias, Nasal cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, PCA, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Peripheral line care/management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Post cardiac angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post cardiac cath, Pre/Post cardiac surgery, Procedural sedation administration/monitoring, Sheath removal, Starting and maintaining IVs, Telemetry, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Titrate cardiac drips, Wound care/wound vac.

Interdisciplinary support: Physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation. Patient diagnoses: CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, Cardiovascular related. Special procedures/unit details: 48 hours straight time. Patient ratios: 1:4-5.
