Position Title Nontenure Line Faculty Pool - Department of Accounting (FY26) Position Description The McCoy College of Business seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach Accounting courses. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department. The posting is for the fall 2025, spring 2026, and summer 2025/2026 semesters. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises. Responsibilities

  • Teach 1 to 4 Accounting courses per semester, either on campus (San Marcos or Round Rock) or online, as assigned based on student demand.
  • Participate in annual performance evaluations and maintain faculty qualifications.
  • Conduct research on critical infrastructure, if selected, subject to background checks and screenings.
Required Qualifications A master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience.
