Prior experience in working with other clients in healthcare and/or will train the right candidate. Display sound judgment, maturity and ability to function independently. Ability to organize, set priorities and handle stressful and/or emergency situations. Ability to meet physical demands of position including visual and auditory acuity.
1. Interact with clients, clients' legal representative and staff using professional judgment and takes appropriate action when handling routine and stressful situations
2. Maintain open communication with all members of the health care team
3. Provides direct support to those with intellectual & developmental disabilities
4. Ensures client safety & maintaining a safe environment
5. Document services provided
6. Perform home management functions such as light housekeeping.
7. Shopping for groceries/toiletries & preparing meals
8. Transports clients or running errands with client
9. Other duties as assigned
