Take your paraprofessional skills to the next level by supporting students in a diverse educational environment near Joliet, IL. An opportunity is available to work with students ages 3-21 who have a variety of disabilities, including Autism and behavioral challenges. This full-time contract position spans the upcoming academic year (August through May), offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and 32 hours per week.

Your role will focus on working as both a classroom aide and individual aide, providing direct support to students, collaborating with teachers, and fostering a safe and positive learning space. Gain experience across different age groups and disabilities, making a direct, positive impact on students' education and development.

Qualifications:

• Active Paraprofessional Educator License (PEL) or Paraprofessional Certificate is required
• Prior experience supporting students with Autism and behavioral needs is strongly preferred
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, adaptable setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to support students' academic and social growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with classroom tasks, personal care, and daily routines
• Implement teacher-led activities and individualized student plans
• Support positive behavioral interventions and reinforce classroom expectations
• Foster an inclusive, accepting environment for all learners
• Maintain open communication with educational staff and families
