Team-based environment with strong mentorship Workplace culture 2nd to none Great benefits Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required) or an associate degree (preferred) 1-year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT (required) or no experience with ARRT-CT (required) ARRT certification – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or if 1 year experience, CT certification within 12 months (required) CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by TDH or TMB (required) BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to independent patient care (required) Responsibilities A Texas Health CT Technologist is responsible for explaining procedures to patients or guardians, imaging the correct anatomical area and pathology, and performing complex procedures with age-appropriate criteria. Additional duties include: Processing and manipulating images, analyzing quality, troubleshooting, and adjusting technique as needed. Correctly sending and transferring images to PACS. Assessing and recognizing patients’ emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions. Operating, caring for, and maintaining equipment. Preparing rooms for examination (suction, oxygen, supplies). Administering contrast media and other medications per guidelines. Maintaining equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients.
