JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Data Specialist to support a newly created role at a large manufacturing facility in New Century, KS. This position will serve as a critical bridge between engineering and maintenance teams, helping to build and standardize maintenance data systems while supporting plant operations. On a daily basis, this individual will support plant operations by owning and maintaining the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS), ensuring accurate work order tracking, maintaining system procedures, and managing the MMIS portion of the Management of Change (MOC) process. They will build and standardize equipment data through BOM creation, asset identification, and P&ID updates, while also helping to establish and optimize preventive maintenance programs. The role partners closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance on capital projects and process improvements, using SAP data analysis to identify efficiencies and drive continuous improvement across the site. Additionally, this person will maintain inspection reports and process safety documentation, support troubleshooting and incident investigations, and develop KPI reporting to track maintenance performance. They will also assist with maintenance inventory reviews, equipment standardization efforts, and provide backup support for site MRO coordination. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or related technical field (Chemical or Industrial Engineering with mechanical exposure also considered)
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and take initiative
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Experience with SAP or other Maintenance Management Software
- Knowledge of writing macros to automate maintenance data reporting, streamline workflows, and improve data accuracy and efficiency
