About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a larger hospital (200 beds minimum) or level 2 or higher trauma center. License: Active RN License in North Dakota or Compact State. Certifications: BLS - AHA Must-Have: Minimum 2 years recent Medical Surgical experience. Experience with surgical oncology patients preferred, but not required. EPIC experience required. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients. The role involves collaborating with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Nurses must demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge. Utilization of age and population-specific standards is essential in the assigned clinical setting. Equipment utilized in this role includes EMR-Epic, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 5:1 on day shifts and 6:1 on night shifts. The unit consists of 47 beds. Nurses may float to any medical-surgical unit as needed. Training includes one day of lead center training followed by two 12-hour shifts on the unit with a preceptor.
