Ultrasound TechnologistAn exciting permanent opportunity has opened for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist (also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) with an area healthcare client where you'll use your expertise to operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce high quality images that are used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.Minimum Requirements:National certification in specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).Vascular ultrasound credential required. Must hold RVT or RVS, or be registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound.Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.Maintain required certification and registries, health requirements, and operational requirements. Able to provide copies of registries and/or diploma on request.Valid driver's license. Ability to produce license on demand. Subject to periodic license checks.BLS Certification.Ability to complete and pass drug screening and background check. Weekend work may be required based on caseload and will constitute overtime if needed.Duration: Direct hire opportunity. Position start period listed for reference in order notes.Position duties include providing mobile ultrasound services at nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and processing sites within the service region. Technologists will travel in a company-provided vehicle.Perform exams using portable sonographic equipment, obtain diagnostically acceptable images, digitally send studies for radiologist interpretation, and complete required documentation and billing processes daily.Self-dispatching or call-in to dispatch to obtain caseload information. Check voicemail and dispatcher every 30 minutes as required during shift.Respond to urgent communications within 15 minutes and carry company-provided phone on person.Follow company dress code, wear uniform and name tag.Technologists are not to perform patient transfers; facility staff will provide required assistance.Maintain vehicle and equipment, report equipment malfunctions immediately, and care for assigned equipment professionally.Additional Expectations and Work Environment:Attend required meetings and trainings. Maintain annual medical physical, TB screening, and infection control in-service documentation.Communicate professionally with call center, dispatch, peers, supervisory staff, and clients.Train other technologists as required. Work independently with minimal supervision.Must have basic smartphone and computer skills for scanning and emailing documents and operating self-dispatch systems.Maintain high standard of medical ethics and professional conduct. Adhere to associate handbook policies on substance use and weapons.Sonographers with company-owned/leased/rented vehicles are responsible for motor vehicle tickets incurred.Location Highlights:Omaha offers a mix of cultural attractions and outdoor recreation convenient for traveling clinicians.
