Base Pay Range $35.00/hr - $44.00/hr Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in telecommunications project installation and/or design Strong knowledge of low‑voltage systems, wiring techniques, and layout design principles Experience with campus‑wide infrastructure design, including fiber connectivity and OSP layouts Proficiency with AutoCAD for drafting schematics and layouts (preferred) Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and BICSI best practices Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Excellent communication and technical problem‑solving skills BICSI RCDD or OSP certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months Job Description We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Project Engineer to lead modernization initiatives for campus‑wide fiber connectivity. In this role, you will: Analyze legacy GIS and CAD data to determine cost‑effective strategies for cabling modernization Conduct site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and provide improvement recommendations Design and draft layouts, schematics, and plans for outside plant (OSP) cabling systems using tools such as BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, and GIS Engineer end‑to‑end modernization of OSP fiber installations, including both buried and aerial applications Perform quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource requirements for installation projects Provide technical support and training to clients on system installation, operation, and maintenance Seniority Level Associate Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Engineering and Design Industries Telecommunications Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
