Rehabilitation Technician – Kindred Hospital Dayton, Lifepoint Rehabilitation How You’ll Contribute Performs accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations and treatments Provides training, direction and guidance for subordinate rehab staff Writes accurate, complete and clear documentation Ensures the timely evaluation and treatment of patients in the most effective and efficient manner possible Oversees risk management operations for the Rehab department in the facility Demonstrates appropriate utilization of resources including billing accurately for services provided Follows patient care tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals. Safely transports patients to and from therapy and other activities. Communicates clearly (verbally and in writing) with members of the rehabilitation team. Observes and recognizes patient reactions to treatment; follows instructions accurately. Lifts and carries equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; uses proper body mechanics. Performs other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For Degree in rehabilitation, healthcare, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in rehabilitation or in a long‑term care setting preferred. Valid and current Occupational Therapy license or equivalent in the state of Ohio. Current CPR certification required. High school diploma or equivalent. Effective verbal and written communication; ability to follow directions; patient transport and safe lifting techniques (up to 50 lbs); observation and basic documentation; reliability, teamwork, and time management.
