Day Surgery Patient Population: Surgical, Interventional Radiology, Endocrinology and Pulmonology Patient Ratio: 1:4 Number of Beds: 25 beds Department Specifics: 90% BSN, Magnet facility, closed on Holidays, fast paced, 50% certification rate, Unit based activities, team oriented. Focuses are patient readiness for surgery, safe discharge, zero harm, and patient/family teaching. Ideally, some relevant professional experience, though less than a year would suffice. Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
