Commercial Analyst

Dissect, analyze, and deliver solutions that improve business and financial performance across the commercial organization. Develop scenario data modeling for large datasets and present findings and recommendations to sales management. Plan and prepare business, financial and data analysis and reports. Responsibilities Build scenario-based models across commercial levers — including pricing, base cost, margin, and compensation — to quantify financial impact and inform annual planning and in-year strategy. Support the design and continuous improvement of reporting processes and business definitions to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Contribute to commercial AI and analytics initiatives — including the evaluation, piloting, and adoption of AI-enabled tools to enhance forecasting, pricing, and reporting workflows. Track and report on modeled-vs-actual performance throughout the fiscal year, giving leadership consistent visibility into projected versus realized outcomes. Conduct year-over-year and run-rate analyses across the commercial portfolio, translating results into clear recommendations for sales and commercial leadership. Develop moderately complex reports and queries for sales management. Measure the trends, efficiencies and effectiveness of sales and resource allocation and utilization. Collaborate with Sales, IS and Finance to develop, create and maintain reporting requirements and ensure systems provide accurate and timely data. Required Experience Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics or Applied Statistics. Work Experience At least 2 years of experience in sales analysis. Additional - Ability to successfully apply standard financial, accounting and business problem-solving skills to business problems with multiple variables. Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with data tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Power Query, Tableau/PowerBI or Python. Strong ability to translate complex data logic into clear business narratives for both analysts and executive stakeholders.
