Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Eureka Springs, AR. This full-time day shift role requires flexibility to adapt to facility needs and a strong proficiency in handling various laboratory equipment and procedures.

Key Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician

• Adhere to UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS standards
• Understand and comply with policies and procedures
• Demonstrate dependability and responsibility in attendance and punctuality
• Perform venipuncture skillfully
• Conduct Daily Quality Control and Daily Maintenance per guidelines
• Complete testing in a timely, concise manner
• Operate and troubleshoot Chemistry Analyzers
• Operate and troubleshoot UA Analyzer
• Operate and troubleshoot Hematology Analyzer
• Operate and troubleshoot Coag Analyzer
• Conduct Blood Bank Testing (type, RH, Antibody Screening, compatibility testing, QC)
• Exhibit courtesy and professional conduct with patients, lab staff, physicians, and other employees
• Handle miscellaneous testing (serological/micro testing, microscopic, etc.)
• Effectively communicate important information with co-workers, supervisors, fellow employees, and physicians
• Maintain overall quality of performance and conduct

Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technician

• ASCP or AMT certification at the time of submission
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Blood bank experience is a plus
