Professional Staff Nurse - Mental Health

This is a 13-week contract position.

Rotating shifts, primarily 7 AM - 7 PM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a key member of the care delivery team. Responsible for setting standards for the quality of care, this role includes managing patient care activities through independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members. The Professional Staff Nurse demonstrates leadership and serves as a partner in achieving optimal patient outcomes across the continuum of care.

• Perform patient care in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and take responsibility for enhancing patient satisfaction.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practices to improve clinical care.
• Apply the nursing process to create and implement personalized care plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and adaptable to change.
• Teach patients and families, ensuring effective understanding of care plans and transitions.
• Maintain productive working relationships, demonstrating accountability and commitment.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; BSN preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Two years of nursing experience required; mental health experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records is preferred.
